On 25th July 2025, Samsung, the South Korean tech giant, launched its latest foldable devices in India as part of the 7th generation Galaxy Z series. These include the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, along with the much-awaited Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic. These devices are now available for purchase at major retail stores across India, as well as on Samsung.com, Flipkart, and Amazon.

Samsung has reported an overwhelming response to the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE, even before the official release. The company stated that in the first 48 hours of the pre-order phase, over 2.1 lakh pre-orders were received for these devices, which is comparable to the pre-order numbers of the Galaxy S25 series launched earlier this year.

Galaxy Z Series: A New Era in Foldable Technology

The Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 are now being touted as the slimmest, lightest, and smartest foldable smartphones ever developed by Samsung. The new foldables incorporate Galaxy AI integration, which understands the user’s behavior and responds accordingly in real-time. This enables a more personalized experience while using the devices. Both phones come equipped with large foldable displays, powerful processors, and advanced camera systems, making them stand out in the premium smartphone market.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is equipped with a 200-megapixel professional-grade camera, allowing users to capture high-quality photos and videos from multiple angles. The camera is coupled with the Gemini Live feature, which lets users share photos and gather AI-based information. Additionally, the Generative Edit feature automatically suggests background element removal during photo editing, reducing the need for manual editing.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is designed as a compact powerhouse that blends style with performance. Its FlexWindow feature enables users to view music, notifications, tracking information, and ride ETAs without opening the device. With Gemini Live, users can turn on the camera and communicate live using AI. The FlexCam feature offers a better selfie experience, and the Portrait Studio for Pets adds a fun new feature for pet photography enthusiasts.

New Wearables: Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic

Alongside the foldable phones, Samsung also launched its new Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic. These smartwatches not only feature a premium design but also come with advanced health and fitness tracking capabilities. The Galaxy Watch8 uses the Samsung BioActive Sensor to provide real-time tracking for sleep, stress, activity, and nutrition.

One of the standout features of the Galaxy Watch8 series is the Antioxidant Index, which is a first in the smartwatch industry. This feature measures the carotenoid levels in the body in just five seconds, offering users real-time insight into their health. It is a revolutionary step towards personalized health monitoring.

Pricing and Variants

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE are available in various configurations and prices to cater to different segments of the market. The Galaxy Z Fold7 is priced between ₹1,74,999 and ₹2,16,999, depending on the variant. The Galaxy Z Flip7 starts at ₹1,09,999, while the Z Flip7 FE begins at ₹89,999.

The Galaxy Watch8 series is available in different models, with prices starting from ₹32,999 and going up to ₹50,999. The price varies based on whether you choose the Bluetooth or LTE version of the smartwatch.

Samsung’s Strategy and Market Response

Samsung’s decision to launch these devices during the second half of the year aligns with the growing trend of foldable smartphones and wearables. The company has positioned the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 as a premium offering, aimed at users looking for cutting-edge technology and luxury. The Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic smartwatches complement this strategy by appealing to health-conscious individuals and those seeking a high-end wearable experience.

Samsung’s foldable phones are poised to offer a more dynamic and versatile experience with their foldable displays, making them ideal for multitasking, media consumption, and productivity on the go. The integration of AI technology further enhances user interaction, making these devices smarter and more intuitive.

Offers and Discounts

As part of the launch, Samsung is offering attractive deals and discounts for customers purchasing these devices. With the pre-order success seen in the first two days, it’s clear that Samsung’s foldable smartphones are receiving a strong response from Indian consumers. Additionally, consumers can benefit from exclusive offers and cashbacks available on platforms like Flipkart and Amazon, making it easier for users to get their hands on the new devices.

Samsung’s latest launch of the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Z Flip7 FE, and the Galaxy Watch8 series marks a new chapter in the smartphone and wearable market. The introduction of these devices, combined with their premium features and performance capabilities, is expected to attract a wide range of tech enthusiasts and luxury consumers.

With AI integration and innovative camera technologies, Samsung is setting a high bar for future foldable smartphones. The new Galaxy Watch8 is also a game-changer, bringing personalized health tracking features that were previously unavailable in smartwatches.
