Realme has once again created excitement in the Indian smartphone market. Ahead of its official launch, the price of the upcoming Realme P4 5G has been leaked. Realme’s Chief Marketing Officer Wong confirmed the price through a post on X.

The Realme P4 5G is scheduled to launch in India on August 20, 2025. The smartphone is being promoted as a mid-budget model with premium features. Realme has described it as a one-of-a-kind device in its segment. It combines a massive 7000mAh battery, dedicated graphics chip, and fast charging support, making it unique among budget-friendly devices.

Realme P4 5G Price in India

According to Wong’s post, the starting price of the Realme P4 5G in India will be Rs 17,499. This price is for the base RAM and storage variant. The price is expected to include limited bank discounts.

For comparison, the Realme P3 5G launched earlier this year at Rs 16,999. After promotional bank offers, the effective price of that model dropped to Rs 14,999. With the P4 5G, Realme is positioning itself slightly higher but offering major hardware upgrades.

The pricing makes the Realme P4 5G one of the most competitive smartphones in the sub-20,000 segment.

Display With HyperGlow Technology

One of the key highlights of the Realme P4 5G is its advanced display. The phone features a 6.77-inch HyperGlow AMOLED screen. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification.

The display can reach up to 4500 nits peak brightness. This ensures clear visibility even under strong sunlight. Realme has included 3840Hz PWM dimming, hardware-level blue-light protection, and flicker reduction. These features reduce strain on the eyes during long hours of use.

The HyperGlow display aims to offer smooth gaming, vibrant visuals, and cinematic video playback. It is a major leap forward compared to the display quality of the Realme P3 series.

Performance Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra

The Realme P4 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra 5G chipset. To further enhance performance, the company has integrated a dedicated visual processor from Pixelworks.

This combination allows smoother frame rendering and superior graphics quality. Gaming experiences are expected to improve drastically, especially for popular titles like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile. Video streaming will also feel more immersive due to enhanced color accuracy.

For cooling, the device comes equipped with a 7000 mm² AirFlow VC Cooling System. This large cooling chamber maintains stable temperatures during extended gaming sessions. By controlling heat effectively, the Realme P4 5G ensures sustained performance without throttling.

Battery Capacity and 80W Charging

Another standout feature of the Realme P4 5G is its massive 7000mAh battery. This Titan-class battery is designed for endurance and can deliver extended hours of continuous usage.

The phone supports 80W Ultra Charge technology. According to Realme, the device can charge up to 50 percent in just 25 minutes.

The P4 5G also introduces intelligent charging features such as AI Smart Charging, bypass charging, and reverse charging. Bypass charging helps reduce heat during gaming by directly powering the device instead of the battery. Reverse charging allows users to power other gadgets through the smartphone.

Realme has claimed that the battery can provide up to 11 hours of uninterrupted BGMI gameplay, making it one of the most durable smartphones for gamers in its category.

Camera Setup on Realme P4 5G

The Realme P4 5G features a 50MP primary camera with advanced AI processing. It is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, giving users the flexibility to capture landscapes and group shots.

On the front, the phone carries a 16MP IMX480 sensor for selfies and video calls. The camera supports 4K video recording, AI landscape mode, and advanced low-light photography.

Realme has promised that the device will provide flagship-level photography performance in a budget-friendly package.

Design and Durability

The Realme P4 5G comes with a unique “Metal Heart Design.” The industrial-style aesthetics include metallic lines and visible screw accents. This rugged yet stylish approach differentiates it from other mid-range smartphones.

The phone will be available in three colors: Steel Grey, Engine Blue, and Forge Red. It also carries IP65 and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance. This means the device can withstand accidental splashes, rain, and exposure to dusty environments.

Comparison With Previous Models

The Realme P3 5G was considered a successful budget device earlier this year. However, its 5000mAh battery and lack of advanced cooling limited its performance.

The Realme P4 5G addresses these shortcomings by offering a much larger 7000mAh battery, faster 80W charging, and an advanced cooling system. It also introduces the Pixelworks visual processor, which was missing from earlier models.

With these upgrades, the P4 5G positions itself as a serious choice for gamers, content creators, and heavy smartphone users.

Market Position and Competition

The Indian smartphone market is highly competitive in the sub-20,000 segment. Brands like Vivo, Oppo, and Xiaomi have strong offerings in this category. However, Realme P4 5G’s unique features make it stand out.

Few devices in this price range offer a combination of a 7000mAh battery, dedicated graphics chip, and advanced AMOLED display. Realme is betting on these specifications to attract young buyers and gamers.

Industry experts believe that the Realme P4 5G will challenge models like Vivo T4R 5G, Oppo K13 Turbo, and Xiaomi’s mid-range devices.

User Experience Expectations

Realme has emphasized that the P4 5G is built for users who want power, endurance, and design. The HyperGlow AMOLED display ensures entertainment lovers get an immersive experience. Gamers benefit from the graphics chip and cooling system. Professionals get long-lasting battery backup.

The inclusion of AI-based features across charging and photography makes the phone smarter in adapting to usage. Overall, Realme aims to deliver a flagship-like experience in a mid-budget package.

Launch Date and Availability

The Realme P4 5G will officially launch in India on August 20, 2025. The company is expected to announce launch offers, including bank discounts and exchange bonuses.

The phone will likely be available online through major platforms and offline through Realme stores and authorized retailers.

The Realme P4 5G has already created strong buzz before its launch. With a leaked price of Rs 17,499, it offers features rarely seen in this range.

The combination of a 7000mAh battery, 80W fast charging, 144Hz AMOLED display, and a dedicated graphics chip makes it a strong contender in the Indian smartphone market. Its design, durability, and IP rating add extra value for users.

Realme is targeting young consumers, gamers, and professionals with this device. If the promises hold true, the P4 5G could redefine expectations in the mid-range category.
