The Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) will release the admit cards for the Patwari Recruitment Examination today, August 13, 2025. Candidates can download their admit cards by visiting the official websites recruitment.rajasthan.gov.in or rssb.rajasthan.gov.in. The exam is scheduled for August 17, 2025, and will be conducted in two separate shifts.
This recruitment aims to fill 3,705 Patwari posts across the state. Over 6.78 lakh applications have been received, and more than 6.50 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the examination.
Exam Schedule and Shift Details
The RSMSSB Patwari exam will be held in two sessions on the same day. The first session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The second session will be conducted from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
A unique rule will apply to each shift. Candidates in the first shift will not be allowed to take the question paper home. In contrast, candidates in the second shift can carry the question paper with them. The decision has been taken to maintain paper security.
The board has announced that all question papers will be uploaded to the official website within 24 hours of the exam. All candidates, regardless of shift, will be allowed to take a carbon copy of their OMR answer sheet to verify answers later.
Reporting Time and Entry Rules
Candidates must arrive at the exam venue at least two hours before the scheduled start. Entry gates will be closed one hour before the commencement of the examination. Late arrivals will not be permitted under any circumstances.
Mandatory Documents for Entry
Candidates must carry their e-admit card along with a valid original photo ID. Aadhaar Card is preferred, but in special cases, a PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID will be accepted. The date of birth should be clearly printed on the ID.
A recent passport-size color photograph measuring 2.5 cm by 2.5 cm must also be carried. The photograph should not be more than one month old. Transparent blue ballpoint pens are mandatory, and photos will undergo software verification.
Photo and ID Verification Rules
If the photograph on the ID is more than three years old, candidates should update it before the exam. Discrepancies between the admit card photo and the ID photo may lead to denial of entry.
Prohibited Items in the Exam Centre
Candidates are not allowed to wear or carry any type of watch inside the examination hall. Other banned items include:
-
Water bottles, wallets, bags, pencil boxes, plastic pouches
-
Calculators, writing pads, pen drives, erasers, log tables, scanners, books, or notebooks
-
Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, and other communication tools

The exam centre will not provide storage for prohibited items, so candidates are advised not to bring them.
Answering Rules and Negative Marking
Each question will have five options. If a candidate does not wish to answer from the first four, they must darken the fifth option.
Failing to darken any option will result in a deduction of one-third of the marks for that question. If more than 10% of questions remain without any marked option, the candidate will be disqualified.
Candidates will be given an extra 10 minutes to ensure that every question has at least one option marked.
Dress Code Guidelines
The board has specified a strict dress code for both male and female candidates.
Male candidates should wear half or full-sleeve shirts or t-shirts, kurta-pajamas, or trousers. Jeans are not permitted.
Female candidates can wear salwar suits, sarees, or half/full-sleeve kurtas or blouses. Hair should be tied with a simple rubber band.
Full-sleeve clothing is allowed, but no large buttons, metal buttons, brooches, badges, or decorative pins are permitted. Jewellery is restricted to thin glass or lacquer bangles; other accessories like earrings, rings, or bracelets are banned.
Candidates should avoid carrying belts, handbags, sunglasses, hats, scarves, shawls, or mufflers.
Footwear is limited to slippers, sandals, shoes, and socks up to the ankle. Shoes with metal chains are not allowed.
