KKN Gurugram Desk | Ayodhya is once again at the center of national attention as it witnesses a major spiritual and cultural milestone. Today, June 5, 2025, the Pran Pratishtha (ritual consecration) of Raja Ram’s royal court idols will be performed on the first floor of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple.

The event, organized by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, holds significant religious and cultural importance. It marks a key phase in the completion of the Ram Mandir construction.

 Ceremony Details and Ritual Timings

The main Pran Pratishtha ritual will be conducted during the Abhijit Muhurat, between 11:25 AM and 11:40 AM, a highly auspicious time slot in Vedic astrology. Over 101 Vedic scholars from Kashi and Ayodhya will lead the chanting of mantras and the consecration process.

Along with Raja Ram’s court idols, seven other temples within the temple complex—dedicated to deities such as Shiva, Ganesha, Surya, Hanuman, Annapurna, Bhagwati, and Sheshavatar Lakshman—will also have their idols consecrated today.

CM Yogi Adityanath to Attend as Chief Guest

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will attend the grand event as the chief guest. His visit begins at 10:30 AM, when he will land at the Ram Katha Park helipad via helicopter.

CM’s Itinerary in Ayodhya:

  1. Visit to Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir
CM Yogi will begin his visit with darshan of Ram Lalla and will participate in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, staying there for approximately two hours.

  2. Darshan at Hanumangarhi Mandir
After the main event, the Chief Minister will offer prayers at Hanumangarhi temple, one of the most significant shrines in Ayodhya.

  3. Civic Ceremony at Ram Katha Park
He will then attend a special event commemorating two years of Ayodhya Municipal Corporation. The event will highlight achievements and honor sanitation workers.

  4. Saryu Festival Inauguration
CM Yogi will inaugurate the Saryu Mahotsav at the banks of the Saryu River, performing Saryu Pujan as part of the spiritual festivities.

  5. Participation in Mahant’s Birthday Celebration
Later in the day, he will visit Maniram Das Chhawni, where he will be part of the birthday celebrations of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Chairman of the Teerth Kshetra Trust.

  6. Visit to Pushp Vatika
His final stop will be at Pushp Vatika near Ram Katha Park, followed by departure for Lucknow at around 4:30 PM.

Significance of the Ceremony

This consecration takes place on the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra, a day considered to mark the descent of the holy Ganga to Earth during the Dwapar Yuga. According to Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust, the idols for Raja Ram’s court have been crafted from the renowned Makrana marble of Jaipur.

The event also signifies a key symbolic moment in the final phases of the temple’s construction. With the idols now consecrated on the first floor, the spiritual completeness of the Ram Darbar is affirmed.

 Security and Arrangements in Ayodhya

Given the spiritual significance and expected crowd, strict security arrangements have been put in place across Ayodhya. SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover confirmed that multiple security checkpoints have been established, and additional forces have been deployed throughout the Ram Janmbhoomi premises.

  • LED Screens have been installed for live public viewing.

  • CCTV Cameras will monitor crowd movement to ensure safety and prevent overcrowding.

  • Volunteers are assisting with crowd management and directions.

 Devotee Sentiment and Participation

The Pran Pratishtha of Raja Ram comes 16 months after the consecration of Ram Lalla in the sanctum sanctorum, rekindling spiritual fervor across the nation. Devotees have shown massive enthusiasm, with many arriving days in advance for darshan.

However, the temple trust has appealed to devotees to avoid overcrowding and visit Ayodhya in a staggered manner. The event is expected to draw not just locals but pilgrims and devotees from across India and abroad, symbolizing national unity through spiritual heritage.

 Cultural and Religious Significance

  • Raja Ram symbolizes the ideal king and is revered as a form of Maryada Purushottam.

  • The Darbar of Raja Ram includes depictions of Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman, and other key figures, representing dharma, service, and devotion.

  • This Pran Pratishtha reaffirms Ayodhya’s role as the epicenter of Sanatan Dharma and sets the tone for the Ram Mandir’s grand inauguration events in 2026.

The Pran Pratishtha of Raja Ram in Ayodhya is more than a religious ceremony — it is a national spiritual celebration rooted in tradition, devotion, and cultural heritage. As Ayodhya continues to transform into a world-class pilgrimage city, today marks yet another chapter in its glorious journey.
