KKN Gurugram Desk | Apple is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, and leaks have already started revealing key details about the upcoming device. A recent 10-second video leak by popular tech tipster Majin Bu, posted on X (formerly Twitter) on January 26, 2025, gives a first look at the design and specifications of the new iPhone SE 4. The video suggests that the iPhone SE 4 will sport a single rear camera and a design similar to the iPhone 14.

According to reports, the iPhone SE 4 may also be rebranded as the iPhone 16e due to its design similarities with Apple’s upcoming flagship series. With AI-powered features, a larger battery, Face ID support, and Apple’s in-house 5G modem, the SE 4 is shaping up to be the most advanced model in the SE series to date.

iPhone SE 4 Leaked Design and Features

The leaked video showcases a sleek and modern design, closely resembling the iPhone 14. Unlike previous SE models that followed the iPhone 8’s classic design, the iPhone SE 4 appears to have a more refined build with a larger display, thinner bezels, and a notch.

Some of the major design upgrades include:

  • Single 48MP Rear Camera: The iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a single 48MP camera with Smart HDR and Night Mode, offering better low-light performance and crisper images.
  • Dynamic Island: Tech analyst Evan Blass has hinted that the SE 4 may include Dynamic Island, which is an interactive notification bar at the top of the screen, a feature seen in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro series.
  • Face ID for the First Time in SE Series: Unlike previous SE models that used Touch ID, the iPhone SE 4 will reportedly include Face ID, making it the first budget iPhone with Apple’s advanced facial recognition technology.
  • Larger Battery and USB Type-C Charging: Apple is expected to include a bigger battery for improved endurance, along with a USB Type-C port, replacing the Lightning connector for faster charging and universal compatibility.

Performance and Hardware Upgrades

The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature Apple’s latest chipset, either the A17 Pro or the upcoming A18 Bionic, providing top-tier performance even in a budget-friendly device. Here are some expected hardware specifications:

  • Processor: A17 Pro or A18 Bionic
  • RAM & Storage: At least 8GB RAM and 128GB base storage
  • Connectivity: Apple’s in-house 5G modem for better network efficiency
  • Display: Expected 6.1-inch OLED screen, similar to the iPhone 14

One of the biggest highlights of the SE 4 could be the inclusion of Apple Intelligence (AI). The upcoming model is expected to feature AI-driven Siri enhancements, image generation capabilities, and smart writing tools, offering a better user experience.

Expected Launch Date and Price

According to leaks, Apple may unveil the iPhone SE 4 (or iPhone 16e) around April 2025. The company has yet to confirm the official release date, but multiple reports indicate that Apple is positioning this device as an affordable alternative to the iPhone 15 and upcoming iPhone 16 models.

iPhone SE 4 Expected Pricing

  • Global Price: Estimated to be under $500
  • India Price: Expected between ₹43,000 – ₹49,000

Apple is known for its aggressive pricing strategy for SE models, ensuring a flagship-like experience at a budget price point. If the iPhone SE 4 retains all the rumored upgrades, it could be one of the most value-for-money iPhones in recent years.

Apple’s Strategy Behind the iPhone SE 4

Apple’s SE series has always targeted consumers looking for premium performance at a lower price. However, previous SE models featured older designs and outdated hardware. With the iPhone SE 4, Apple seems to be shifting towards a more modern design with flagship-like features.

  • Competing in the Budget Flagship Market: With brands like Samsung, OnePlus, and Google offering premium mid-range devices, Apple wants to capture the ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 price segment with a powerful, AI-integrated iPhone.
  • Phasing Out Older iPhones: Since the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 are still selling well, Apple might discontinue them in favor of the iPhone SE 4, making it the go-to budget iPhone.
  • Apple’s First AI-Powered Budget iPhone: With AI becoming a major trend, the SE 4 might introduce AI-powered Siri, advanced camera features, and smart tools for an improved user experience.

If you’re looking for an affordable iPhone with modern design, Face ID, and Apple’s latest performance upgrades, waiting for the iPhone SE 4 might be a great decision. The potential upgrades in camera, battery life, AI features, and 5G connectivity make it one of the most exciting budget iPhones in years.

However, if you already own an iPhone 13 or iPhone 14, you may not find a compelling reason to switch. The SE 4 is likely aimed at users upgrading from older models like the iPhone SE 3, iPhone XR, or iPhone 11
