Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bihar today, beginning his tour from Gaya where he addressed a massive public gathering. During his speech, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth over ₹13,000 crore, including railways, roads, energy, housing, and water supply initiatives. From Gaya, the Prime Minister also flagged off the Gaya–New Delhi Amrit Bharat Express and the Vaishali–Koderma Buddhist Circuit train through video conferencing.

After completing his program in Gaya, the Prime Minister traveled to Begusarai to inaugurate the newly constructed six-lane Onta–Simaria bridge over the river Ganga. The projects, combined with his fiery political speech, have drawn sharp reactions from both allies and opponents.

PM Modi on Operation Sindoor and Pakistan

During his address in Gaya, PM Modi recalled Operation Sindoor and said that any resolution taken on Bihar’s soil is never left incomplete. Referring to the operation, he claimed Pakistan had attempted to attack India using drones and missiles. According to him, India destroyed them effortlessly “like straw in the wind.” He said not a single missile fired by Pakistan succeeded in causing harm. Attack on RJD and Congress

The Prime Minister targeted opposition parties RJD and Congress, accusing them of supporting infiltrators for vote bank politics. He said infiltrators were taking away jobs, occupying land, and depriving Biharis of their rightful share. He said the new law proposed by the NDA government ensures accountability. Under the law, if any prime minister, chief minister, or minister is jailed and fails to get bail within 30 days, they must resign on the 31st day. Infrastructure Development Announcements

The Prime Minister inaugurated a series of developmental projects. These include railways, highways, energy plants, health facilities, and housing projects. Among the highlights were:

• A 660MW power plant in Buxar.

• The inauguration of the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Muzaffarpur.

• The Onta–Simaria six-lane Ganga bridge.

• Upgradation of NH-31 between Bakhtiyarpur and Mokama.

• Sewerage networks and STP projects in Munger.

The Prime Minister pressed a remote button to virtually inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for all these projects.

Employment and Youth Opportunities

Modi emphasized employment opportunities being created under both central and state governments. He praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for running transparent teacher recruitment drives and offering government jobs through a campaign. He also highlighted the Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana launched on August 15, under which the central government will provide ₹15,000 to youths for their first private sector jobs. Private companies hiring such youths will also receive financial support. Modi assured that these initiatives will benefit Bihar’s youth directly.

In his address, PM Modi appreciated Nitish Kumar’s efforts in providing jobs and promoting development in Bihar. He said the double-engine government was working tirelessly to make Gaya and Bihar more prosperous. Modi highlighted that projects inaugurated in Gaya would boost industries and create new employment opportunities.

Nitish Kumar, in his own speech, acknowledged the support provided by the central government. He highlighted his government’s welfare schemes including increased pensions, free electricity, and other public benefits. The Chief Minister noted that Bihar had been granted hosting rights for the Khelo India Youth Games and praised Modi’s leadership.

Modi on Bihar’s Past and “Lalten Raj”

PM Modi criticized the opposition by referring to Bihar’s past under RJD rule, which he described as the “Lalten Raj.” He said that period pushed Bihar into darkness, both literally and metaphorically. Modi claimed Maoist activities had made travel unsafe after sunset, and villages had no electricity poles. He accused RJD and its allies of treating Biharis only as a vote bank and ignoring their dignity and development.

He also recalled how a Congress leader once publicly declared that Biharis would not be allowed into their state, describing it as proof of Congress’s hatred toward the people of Bihar.

On Housing and Welfare

PM Modi reiterated his government’s commitment to welfare schemes. He said his greatest happiness came from serving the people by providing housing and healthcare. He revealed that more than 4 crore houses had been given to the poor in 11 years, including over 2 lakh homes in Gaya alone. On this occasion, he also handed symbolic keys to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

The Prime Minister said he would not rest until every needy family had a proper house.

Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi praised Modi’s efforts, saying the Prime Minister had done so much for Bihar that the demand for special state status had become irrelevant. He criticized opposition leaders for undermining development.

Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary also applauded Modi and Nitish, stressing the 125 units of free electricity given to households and the promise of solar panels for homes. He urged Modi to visit Bihar more frequently.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav attacked Modi’s visit by calling it a “shop of jumlas.” He accused the Prime Minister of making false promises and demanded accountability for 11 years of his own governance and 20 years of NDA rule. RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav also criticized Modi, claiming the visit was a symbolic political act aimed at ending Nitish Kumar’s relevance.
