The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the admit cards for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) stage of the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025. Candidates who qualified in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) can now download their PET/PST admit cards from the official website www.crpfonline.com or directly through the given link provided by SSC.

Applicants are required to reach the examination venue at the scheduled time, carrying a printed copy of their e-admit card along with all necessary documents.

Important Instructions for SSC GD Constable PET/PST

The SSC has made it clear that candidates must carry certain essential documents to be allowed entry to the test center. These include four recent passport-size photographs and at least one valid photo identification proof in original. Acceptable ID proofs include a driving license, voter ID card, Aadhaar card, university or college-issued ID, or income tax PAN card.

Failure to bring the required documents will result in denial of entry to the examination premises. The rules will be strictly enforced at all test venues to ensure security and transparency.

Timeline of SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025

The online Computer-Based Test (CBT) for SSC GD Constable was conducted from February 4 to February 25, 2025, across various examination centers in the country. The provisional answer key for the examination was released on March 4, 2025, allowing candidates to raise objections within the stipulated time.

Following the evaluation process, SSC declared the results of the CBT on June 17, 2025. Alongside the results, the commission also issued the scorecards, enabling candidates to check their individual performance in the examination.

With the release of the PET/PST admit cards, the recruitment process has now entered its second crucial phase, where physical standards and physical fitness will be tested before the final selection.

Physical Standard Test (PST) Criteria

The PST involves checking the height and chest measurements for male and female candidates. The required physical standards are as follows:

  • Height: Male candidates must have a minimum height of 170 cm, while female candidates must measure at least 157 cm.

  • Chest Measurement (for males only): The unexpanded chest should measure 80 cm, with an expansion of at least 5 cm, making it 85 cm when expanded.

These measurements will be taken under strict supervision, and candidates failing to meet the standards will be disqualified from the recruitment process.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Requirements

The PET is designed to assess the physical endurance of candidates. The running requirements are different for male and female candidates:

  • Male candidates: They must complete a 5 km run within 24 minutes. Alternatively, they must cover 1600 meters in 7 minutes.

  • Female candidates: They must complete a 1.6 km run within 8.5 minutes. Alternatively, they must finish an 800-meter run within 5 minutes.

Candidates must successfully complete these tasks to move to the next stage of recruitment. The PET will be conducted under close monitoring to ensure fairness and adherence to the prescribed timelines.

SSC GD Constable 2025 Vacancies Breakdown

Through this recruitment drive, SSC aims to fill a total of 53,690 General Duty Constable posts across multiple forces. The distribution of vacancies is as follows:

  • CISF: 16,571 vacancies (largest share)

  • BSF: 16,371 vacancies

  • CRPF: 14,359 vacancies

  • ITBP: 3,468 vacancies

  • Assam Rifles (AR): 1,865 vacancies

  • SSB: 902 vacancies

  • SSF: 132 vacancies

  • NCB: 22 vacancies

Out of the total vacancies, 5,370 posts are reserved for female candidates, while 48,320 posts are for male candidates. This makes the competition particularly intense for male candidates due to the larger applicant pool.

Significance of PET/PST in SSC GD Recruitment

The PET and PST stages are as critical as the CBT in the SSC GD Constable recruitment process. While the CBT evaluates a candidate’s knowledge and aptitude, the PET and PST determine whether they meet the physical requirements necessary for serving in the forces.

Many candidates clear the written examination but are unable to meet the physical standards. As a result, SSC urges all candidates to prepare adequately for these stages to avoid last-minute disqualification.

How to Download the SSC GD PET/PST Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card by visiting the official website www.crpfonline.com and clicking on the PET/PST admit card link. They will need to log in using their registration number and date of birth.

After downloading, candidates must check all details printed on the admit card, including their name, photograph, roll number, exam venue, date, and reporting time. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately to the SSC or CRPF authorities.

Examination Day Guidelines

Candidates must report to the venue well before the reporting time to avoid last-minute rush. The entry gates will be closed once the reporting time is over, and latecomers will not be permitted inside.

Carrying prohibited items like mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any electronic gadgets is strictly forbidden. Candidates are advised to wear sports shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for running and physical activities.

Final Selection Process

After clearing the PET and PST, candidates will proceed to the next stages, which may include document verification and a medical examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the CBT, provided candidates pass all subsequent stages.

The SSC GD Constable 2025 recruitment aims to induct physically and mentally fit individuals into India’s premier paramilitary and security forces. The PET and PST are thus decisive in identifying those capable of handling the demanding responsibilities of the job.

The release of the SSC GD Constable PET/PST admit cards marks an important step in the 2025 recruitment process. With nearly 53,690 vacancies across various forces, this recruitment is one of the largest in recent years. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly, follow all examination day instructions, and ensure they meet the physical standards required for selection.
