KKN Gurugram Desk | The Women’s and Child Development Department (WCD), Bikaner, has announced a major recruitment drive under the Rajasthan Anganwadi Vacancy 2025 scheme. A total of 157 positions are available for Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Assistant (Sahayika) roles exclusively for women. This initiative aims to strengthen the state’s early childhood care network and provide livelihood opportunities in both rural and urban areas .Vacancy Details – Anganwadi Worker and Assistant Posts

The vacancy distribution is as follows:

  • Anganwadi Worker: 57 vacancies

  • Anganwadi Assistant (Sahayika): 100 vacancies

  • Total Posts: 157 in Bikaner district

All positions are reserved for local women residents, ensuring they serve in their own revenue villages (rural) or ward areas (urban) within Bikaner’s Anganwadi network .

 Eligibility Criteria and Age Limits

Educational Requirement:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 (12th standard) in any stream from a recognized board .

Age Eligibility:

  • General category: 18 to 35 years

  • SC/ST/Widow/Divorced: Upper age limit extends to 40 years .

Application Process – Offline Submissions

  • Form Availability: Free application forms are available at the offices of the respective Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) in urban and rural areas.

  • Submission Window: Applicants must submit the completed form along with two self-attested copies of required documents between June 11 and July 10, 2025, in person to the relevant CDPO office .

  • Receipt Acknowledgment: It is mandatory to obtain an official receipt upon submission.

Important Note: Rajasthan government policy stipulates that applicants from other states (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) are treated under the general category.

Salary Structure and Recruitment Basis

  • Hiring for both Anganwadi Worker and Assistant roles will be on a contractual basis (Honorarium-based), as per ICDS regulations.

  • Exact pay bands typically range in accordance with WCD norms for anganwadi positions, ensuring fair compensation for essential early childhood development duties.

 Who Can Apply?

  • Local Residency Criterion: For rural posts, applicants must be residents of the revenue village where the Anganwadi Centre operates. Similarly, for urban posts, only women from the respective ward are eligible .

  • Education: 12th-pass from any stream

  • Age Limit: Must be between 18–35 years (up to 40 years for SC/ST/widows/divorced)
