The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow is closing the application process today. January 30 is the final date to apply for UP Police Constable Vacancy 2025. Eligible and interested candidates must complete their online application without delay.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 32,679 vacancies across multiple forces. The posts include Constable, PAC Constable, Female PAC, Special Security Force, Mounted Police, and Jail Warder. Candidates who miss today’s deadline will not get another opportunity.

The online application process is available on the official portal www.upprpb.in. Applicants are advised to complete the form carefully before submission.

Large Scale Recruitment Across Police and Prison Departments

The UP Police Constable Recruitment 2025 is one of the largest hiring exercises in recent years. Out of the total vacancies, 10,469 posts are for Constable Police. A total of 15,131 posts are reserved for PAC Constable positions.

Female PAC will recruit 2,282 candidates. Special Security Force has 1,341 vacancies. Mounted Police recruitment will be conducted for 71 posts. Jail Warder recruitment includes 3,279 male posts and 106 female posts.

The wide distribution of vacancies has increased interest among aspirants. Officials expect a very high number of applications this year.

Application Numbers Expected to Cross 40 Lakh

Earlier estimates suggested nearly 30 lakh applications. However, officials now expect over 40 lakh candidates to apply. This sharp rise indicates strong competition for limited seats.

The high application count will make selection more challenging. Candidates are now waiting for the UP Police constable recruitment exam date. The board is expected to announce the exam schedule after application scrutiny.

Educational Qualification Required for Candidates

Candidates applying for this recruitment must have passed Class 12. Intermediate qualification from a recognized board is mandatory. Applicants with equal marks may receive preference based on additional qualifications.

Preference may be given to candidates with O Level certification. NCC B certificate holders may also receive weightage. Candidates with two years of service in Territorial Army may get preference during selection.

Age Limit and Relaxation Details Explained

The age limit for male candidates is 18 to 25 years. Age calculation will be based on July 1, 2025. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories will receive age relaxation.

Apart from category based relaxation, all candidates have received an additional three year age relaxation. This provision was also applied in the previous large scale recruitment drive.

Category Wise Vacancy Distribution Across Forces

Vacancies have been distributed category wise across all forces. Constable Police posts include unreserved, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST categories. Similar category distribution applies to PAC, SSF, and Jail Warder posts.

Female battalions in Lucknow, Badaun, and Gorakhpur will recruit women candidates only. Mounted Police recruitment is limited to male candidates.

The structured distribution ensures representation across all categories.

Physical Standards for Male Candidates

Male candidates must meet specific physical standards. For General, OBC, and SC categories, minimum height should be 168 centimeters. Chest measurement without expansion must be 79 centimeters. With expansion, it should reach 84 centimeters.

For ST candidates, minimum height is 160 centimeters. Chest measurement should be 77 centimeters without expansion. Expanded chest measurement must be 82 centimeters.

Candidates failing to meet standards will be disqualified.

Physical Standards for Female Candidates

Female candidates from General, OBC, and SC categories must have a minimum height of 152 centimeters. ST category female candidates must have a minimum height of 147 centimeters.

Minimum body weight for female candidates is 40 kilograms. Weight will be measured during the physical screening process.

Selection Process Includes Written Exam and Physical Test

The selection process consists of a written examination. Candidates qualifying the written test will appear for PST and document verification. A physical efficiency test will follow.

Male candidates must complete a 4.8 kilometer run within 25 minutes. Female candidates must complete a 2.4 kilometer run within 14 minutes.

Only those clearing all stages will be considered for final selection.

Exam Pattern and Marks Distribution

The written examination will be conducted for 300 marks. A total of 150 objective type questions will be asked. The duration of the exam will be two hours.

Subjects include General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical Ability, Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Mental Aptitude. Each correct answer carries two marks.

No Negative Marking in Written Examination

The state government has removed negative marking for this recruitment. Earlier, incorrect answers resulted in marks deduction. That system has now been abolished.

This change is expected to benefit candidates attempting all questions. Aspirants can answer without fear of penalty.

Minimum Qualifying Marks Defined

Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks to pass the written exam. Unreserved category candidates need 30 percent marks. EWS and OBC candidates require 25 percent.

SC and ST candidates must score at least 20 percent marks. Only qualified candidates will be called for physical tests.

Application Fee Structure for Candidates

General, EWS, and OBC candidates must pay an application fee of 500 rupees. SC and ST candidates need to pay 400 rupees.

The fee must be paid online during application submission.

Preference Selection Is Mandatory During Application

Candidates must select post preference while filling the application form. Once submitted, preferences cannot be changed. Applicants must choose preferences carefully.

Failure to select preferences may lead to rejection.

One Time Registration Mandatory for Future Recruitment

The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has introduced One Time Registration. Candidates must complete OTR on apply.upprpb.in before applying for future recruitments.

OTR is mandatory for Constable, SI, and other upcoming posts. This system is similar to UPPSC and UPSSSC registration models.
