A viral video featuring veteran actress and Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan has sparked controversy. Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has reacted strongly, calling Jaya Bachchan one of the most spoiled and privileged women. The video, filmed at the Constitution Club in Delhi, shows Jaya Bachchan pushing a man trying to take a selfie with her.

The Viral Video Incident

Jaya Bachchan, a Samajwadi Party MP, was attending an event at the Constitution Club on Tuesday. During the event, a man approached her to take a selfie. In the viral clip, she is seen pushing him away and scolding him.

She can be heard saying, “What are you doing? What is this?” before moving away. The clip quickly spread across social media platforms, sparking heated debates over her behavior.

Kangana Ranaut’s Reaction

Kangana Ranaut, currently serving as a Member of Parliament from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency, criticized Jaya Bachchan on her Instagram story. Without directly naming her, Kangana referred to her as the “most spoiled but privileged woman.”

She wrote that people tolerate her arrogance and rudeness only because she is Amitabh Bachchan’s wife. Kangana also mocked the Samajwadi Party cap Jaya was wearing, comparing it to a rooster’s comb. She further said Jaya appeared like a “fighting rooster” in the red cap, calling the incident shameful and insulting.

Public Reaction on Social Media

Social media users reacted strongly to the video. Many criticized Jaya Bachchan’s demeanor, claiming it reflects her usual attitude. One user commented that this seems to be her daily behavior, while another said there must be “something wrong with her.”

Some netizens expressed disappointment, saying they respect her as an actress but do not expect such conduct from her in public.

Jaya Bachchan’s History of Opposition to Unauthorised Photos

Jaya Bachchan has often expressed her dislike for unsolicited selfies and photographs. Over the years, she has openly objected to being clicked without her permission. This incident appears to be another example of her firm stand against unauthorised photography.

Why the Incident is Gaining Attention

The incident is drawing attention not just because of Jaya Bachchan’s public image, but also due to the fact that it involves two prominent political figures from opposing parties. While Jaya Bachchan represents the Samajwadi Party in the Rajya Sabha, Kangana Ranaut is a BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh.

The political and celebrity status of both women has amplified the reach of this controversy, making it a major talking point online.

The Intersection of Politics, Celebrity, and Public Conduct

Incidents like this often trigger larger conversations about how public figures should behave in public spaces. Many argue that while celebrities and politicians deserve privacy, they must also handle public interactions with grace, given their influential positions.

Others believe that fans should respect personal boundaries and avoid intrusive behavior such as taking pictures without consent.

The Jaya Bachchan viral video has stirred a wave of criticism, with Kangana Ranaut’s sharp remarks adding fuel to the fire. Public reactions remain divided, with some supporting Jaya’s stance on privacy and others condemning her manner of dealing with the situation.

As the debate continues, the incident highlights the delicate balance public figures must maintain between personal boundaries and public expectations.
