Tragic Accident on Raksha Bandhan: Brother and Sister-in-Law Die in Road Mishap in Kaimur

A tragic road accident occurred in Kaimur district, Bihar, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The accident led to the untimely deaths of a brother and his sister-in-law. They were returning from the sister-in-law’s parental home after celebrating Raksha Bandhan when an unknown vehicle hit them. The crash occurred near the Pipri village, close to the Karmanasha Chand Nahar Path in the Durgawati police station area.

The Incident: A Heartbreaking Loss

The deceased have been identified as Rishikesh Rai, aged 25, and his sister-in-law Lakshmina Devi, aged 30. According to Rishikesh’s elder brother, Lucky Rai, Lakshmina had gone to her parental home in Dadhar Village to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Rishikesh accompanied her, and they were returning home when the fatal accident occurred.

As they were traveling back, a hit-and-run vehicle collided with their motorcycle. The crash was so severe that both Rishikesh and Lakshmina fell into a nearby canal. Tragically, both of them lost their lives on the spot.

Police Investigation Underway

The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem at Sadar Hospital Bhabhua. The local police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are actively searching for the unidentified vehicle involved in the accident. Authorities are collecting information from nearby residents to track down the vehicle and gather evidence.

A Shocking Loss for the Family

The death of Rishikesh and Lakshmina has cast a shadow of grief over their family. As soon as the bodies arrived in their village, there was an overwhelming scene of mourning. The family members were devastated and inconsolable. Relatives and villagers have come forward to offer condolences and support during this difficult time.
