Muzaffarpur’s Patahi airport gets Rs 25 crore, hope of starting air service is high

KKN Gurugram Desk |The recent allocation of ₹25 crore for the development of Muzaffarpur’s Patahi Airport has sparked enthusiasm among local leaders and residents. This funding aims to enhance regional connectivity and stimulate economic growth in the area.

Government’s Commitment to Airport Development

Dr. Rajbhushan Chaudhary, the Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Member of Parliament, expressed his dedication to the airport’s advancement. He emphasized that the ₹25 crore grant is a significant step forward and assured that any remaining obstacles to initiating flight services would be addressed promptly.

Political Leaders Applaud the Initiative

Ranjan Kumar, former district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), highlighted the rapid development in Bihar under the dual leadership of the state and central governments. He noted that launching flight services from Patahi would boost local business activities. Vivek Kumar, BJP’s Eastern District President, released a press statement thanking the leaders instrumental in this achievement. Western District President Harimohan Chaudhary extended gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for their roles in this development. Other notable figures, including Minister Kedar Prasad Gupta, Dr. Raju Singh, former MLA Baby Kumari, and Eastern District Vice President Manish Kumar, also expressed their satisfaction with the progress.

Progress at Darbhanga Airport

In related news, Darbhanga Airport witnessed the arrival and departure of 14 flights on Sunday. The SpiceJet flight SG 115 from Mumbai arrived at 9:07 AM, seven minutes behind schedule. Akasa’s flight QP 1405 from Delhi landed at 11:04 AM, nine minutes late. IndiGo’s flight 6E7234 from Kolkata arrived 15 minutes ahead of its scheduled time at 11:55 AM. SpiceJet’s flight SG 475 from Delhi reached four minutes early at 12:15 PM. IndiGo’s flight 6E535 from Mumbai landed at 1:18 PM, 18 minutes late. Another IndiGo flight, 6E537 from Hyderabad, arrived five minutes early at 2:20 PM.

The development of Patahi Airport is poised to significantly enhance Muzaffarpur’s connectivity with major cities, fostering economic growth and providing residents with improved travel options. The collective efforts of government officials and local leaders are instrumental in realizing this vision.
